Day in the Life: Company Rep Tina

As the Company Rep, I am the face of Alcom. It is my job to get out and meet you to learn about your business and how we can supply the most suitable communication solution for a safe and productive workplace.

I have been on the team for almost 2 years now. Learning about radio and all the product options was a steep learning curve at first but support from the directors, my work colleagues and suppliers has been amazing. Now if I don’t have the answer to a query right away I know I can find the answer and get back to you, or refer you to the right person.

Getting out and about to meet and service customers is the best part of the job. We service a wide geographical area across the Central North island and have customers as far south as Tongariro National Park, in and around Kawerau, Whakatane and the rural areas beyond Opotiki. Many of our customers are farmers and forestry crews across South Waikato and of course the wider Rotorua, Tokoroa and Taupo areas.

No two days are the same and while I do have a loose structure to my day and week sometimes I have to adjust my schedule to respond to an urgent customer query. All part of the job.

As we move into spring it is a good time to take stock of your radio communications and get any servicing done before the end of the year. Give me a call if you want some advice and I will schedule a visit when I am next in your area.
