18 Oct Alcom Connect: Update
The last few weeks we have been busy on-boarding lots of customers to the Alcom Connect Digital Network. We have been very pleased with the feedback we are getting.
Many were initially drawn to the network to improve the safety of workers particularly those working in remote areas. One company, that was trialling the system at the time, had a serious incident. A worker travelling early morning in a remote area that had no cell phone coverage skidded on black ice and crashed. While trapped in his vehicle he was able to use his radio to call his manager’s cell phone. Thankfully, help was sent right away and no one was seriously injured on this occasion. This is a great example of how good communication is critical to getting help where it is needed as quickly as possible.
We have also had several customers telling us how the system has helped them improve the efficiency of their operations. The ability to call in and out of remote areas via the radio to cell phones and landlines means problems and issues can be addressed more promptly, saving time, frustration and ultimately money.
Businesses being able to customise the system with individual and group calling options and communicate seamlessly across a wide area network has also been a game changer.
