Vernon’s varied career includes working as an accountant, a sales manager, a teacher and 15 years as an airline pilot. He leads the sales & technical team to ensure we provide customers with the most up to date, cost effective communication solutions. Vernon has been teaching himself Spanish and is now ready to visit Spain or South America to test his new-found language skills. He also likes to bike and walk in the forest in his spare time.
Catherine is originally from Belfast, Northern Ireland. She has lived in New Zealand since 1993 and has a background in sports development, event management and tertiary education. Her key role is as the general manager to ensure the smooth running of the business. Catherine enjoys keeping fit by swimming, biking and walking regularly. She also coaches her daughter’s school basketball team and is a Basketball New Zealand Referee Trainer.
Suzanne joined Alcom in April 2017. Prior to this she worked in a variety of sales, admin and hospitality roles. Suzanne works part time in a dual role as customer service assistant and general administrator. She can help you with sales, bookings and other general queries. Suzanne is a talented baker and often spoils us with her delicious creations. In her spare time she likes to spend time with her son and her dog, Zeus.
Charlie T is Rotorua born and bred and has been with Alcom since October 2016. He trained and worked as a radio technician in the 1980s before moving to work at FRI (now Scion) as a computer hardware technician. Charlie’s key areas of expertise include fault diagnoses, equipment installation and servicing & repair of radio equipment. In his spare time Charlie loves to tinker with electronic devices and his beloved classic cars.
Kourosh joined Alcom in February 2020. He hails from Japan and has worked as a radio technician and test engineer in a variety of companies in Japan and New Zealand. He has university qualifications in Electronic Engineering & Information Technology and has experience designing radio software. Kourosh’s role involves programming, technical repairs and servicing. He also plays a lead role in product research and development and project work. He speaks several languages and in his spare time enjoys amateur radio, fishing and camping.
