VERNON DOUGLAS
Director/Business Development

Vernon leads the sales & technical team and ensures we provide you with the most up to date, cost effective communications.  He has a broad range of experience as an accountant, a sales manager, a teacher and 15 years as an airline pilot. In his spare time he enjoys learning Spanish and staying active in the outdoors.

CATHERINE DOUGLAS
Director/Manager

Catherine is the general manager. She links with everyone on the team to make sure we deliver a high quality of products and services.  She stays active with regular swimming, biking and walking and is also a local league basketball referee and coach.

TINA MALHERBE
Company Representative

As the Company Representative Tina’s role is to connect with customers and ensure you get the right communication solution. To relax she enjoys off-road running and mountain biking. She is also a keen body builder and has won several prestigious competitions at international level.

CAMERON CHANDLER
Installer/Technical Assistant

Cameron’s  key responsibilities include installation, fault diagnosis and remedy, repeater maintenance and programming. He is Rotorua born and bred and has a background in auto-electical. In his free time he likes to explore the outdoors in his 4 wheel drive vehicle or on his mountain bike.

DARON
Installer/Technical Assistant

Daron’s responsibilities include installation, fault diagnosis & remedy, repeater maintenance and servicing and programming. Daron originally trained as a cabinet maker and has done a range of jobs over the years in Australia and New Zealand. Most recently he spent 10 years in Gisborne working in a radio communications business. He joined Alcom early 2022 after he and his wife, Chris, moved back to his hometown of Kawerau.

SUSIE BARKER
Office Administrator

Susie is responsible for general administration, accounts, bookings, counter sales and frontline customer service. Prior to joining Alcom she worked in a variety of finance and accounting roles at Waka Kotahi and also as an office manager in a small business. Having relocated from her hometown, Palmerston North, Susie is relishing the active and interesting lifestyle that Rotorua has to offer.
